Ocular Allergy

I have been writing about ocular (eye) allergy for quite sometime. Some causes for it are:
  1. Pollens
  2. Dust
  3. Weeds
  4. Pet dander
  5. Grass
Some allergies are seasonal too in the sense that your eyes will be affected the most during that season. There are treatments for allergies but allergies are NEVER CURABLE is the hard fact. They are like common cold and can only be controlled through medicines. I am struggling with the same too. Also whenever you have to use eye drops, consult the doctor and then only use it. Do not use eye drops without proper prescription or get them OTC. Most of the eye drops for allergies have steroids in them. The prolonged use of these eye drops with steroids will cause glaucoma and cataract. So better prevent then feel sorry.

Another important note is that the eye drops without steroids are quite expensive. So consult the ophthalmologist before you do anything. Eyes are vital for us and it is not like any other organ like hands or legs. So we need to be doubly careful before using any type of eye drops.

Yeah a good and helpful account. Steroid eye drops also cause some physical side effects instantly such as blurry vision, slight swelling etc... though not that frequent.
I wish for ur eyes remain cool all the time.
