Sengkang Murugan temple

Sengkang murugan temple has been one of the popular temples in Singapore. It is both a murugan and gynamuneeswarar temple. Both festivals pertaining lord murugan and muneeswaran happens in this temple.

The temple is located at Rivervale Crescent in Sengkang next to Chong Hua Tong Tou Teck Hwee Prayer hall and Sengkang Combined Taoist Temple. It is the first Hindu temple to be established with the support and funding from the Buddhist Community. Quite a peaceful place as it is located quite outside the buzzing city. If you have not visited already, do so now

Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple in Ceylon street

One of my friends have been asking me to cover most of the temples in Singapore that I have visited and that I know of. So from today I will update about the temples in Singapore in my blog.

Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple is located in Ceylon street in Singapore. The nearest MRT is PayaLebar. You can take bus no. 40 from Payalebar and get down in Ceylon street. You might travel from 5 to 6 stoppings. A very huge statue of lord ganesh is the main idol. To our left, lord shiva is present and to our right, goddess is present. The temple is very nicely built and lot of veda chantings happen too on particular days. A must visit for all of us. You can visit this link for more details.

Singaperumal temple

Today I went to singaperumal temple in the GST road. It is located 10kms away from Guduvancherry. One of the oldest temples in Chennai. I just loved visiting the temple. During Aarthi, the priest opens the third eye of the god and it is a very devotional feeling and you get goose pimples seeing God.

The temple also sells Puliogarai, Dosa and other prasadham items that can be bought at a cheaper price and you can eat that as lunch or breakfast and today I too did the same. Whenever you have time or you pass by that way, do not forget to visit the temple.
