Funny incident

In the evening yesterday our family had plans to immerse Lord Ganesh idol in the near by temple's pond. So mum inlaw said that we would visit our uncle who lives nearby the temple, have dinner and then return home. Though it sounded fine i was reluctant to go to his place for dinner. But somehow nodded my head to say YES. MIL had called up uncle to say that we would come for dinner. During this entire episode, the phone line was frequently getting cut but some how MIL tried to convey the message.

We went to temple and performed the immersion and came to uncle's place. Now, aunt and uncle ask us if we want tea. We said NO as we thought that we are going to have dinner and why should we have tea then. After some time, aunt came with few plates with snacks in it. While we are waiting with empty tummy for food, we were all baffled to see the snacks plate. Could not say a word and hence tried to eat some of them. Waited for aunt to give us food and then finally had to just say a bye to them and leave as Ayati started crying for she was hungry.

After we got into the car, we all burst into laughter. It was concluded that the message was not properly conveyed to uncle about our dinner - blame it on the phone line and MIL who could not convey the info well.. hahahaha..
