Samsung SGH U600 Edition

My husband gifted me with a Samsung ultra thin latest mobile model SGH U600. Its a cool phone with lot of superb features. Don't stop. Do read my review below.

Its a wonderful slider phone of the year. The Samsung U600's vital statistics are :
Length : 106.4mm
Width : 43.6mm
Depth : 11.7mm
Weight : 81 g

It is a slim and ultra sleek model which is available in various colors like White, Black, Blue and Garnet Red. I chose the contemporary garnet red color phone. The front of the phone is almost completely flat with a touch pad to operate the menu items.

The volume keys, ports, and shutter buttons can be found on the sides. One addition would be the new power button at the top, which also serves as a keypad lock key. This is a useful feature, but being as the power button is located on the top, it is not as accessible as it could be for such a common function. The alphanumeric keypad is engraved on a single piece of metal, and thankfully are appropriately spaced, and offer great tactile feedback. So unlike the other compact mobile phones, I do not face problem while dialing numbers or writing text messages.

Another new and a useful feature for outside use is the “Sunlight Mode” which effectively gives optimum contrast setting for outdoor use in bright light conditions. About the camera, the 3.2 megapixel is located rearside ( see Photo 5 ) and becomes visible with the slider open. The main attributes of the camera are :
- 3.2 mega pixels, Digital zoom x4, LED flash, autofocus, fullsize portrait/ landscape view, single / multi / Mosaic shot, white balance / ISO. A very impressive list indeed. The maximum resolution for the camera is 2048 x 1536 pixels.

The phone also has calender, scheduler, calculator, document viewer, mobile printing, converter and OPUS (Optimized Power Usage Solution).A 2GB microSD card would provide up to 150 of your tunes to be stored at any one time. USB connection has three modes : PC studio, modem and mass storage. Usual method of attachment via USB to your PC. Bluetooth 2.0 is provided for a number of functions such as hands free, headset, file transfer, printing, A2DP plus more.

To conclude it is the best slimmest sliding model that has been invented so far. I personally feel that the talk time is a little less compared to Nokia phones. As a first timer user of Samsung, am trying to get used to the menu items and functions. I can master them as days go by. So if you are thinking of buying a new phone, you can definitely buy this one!
