One good way to increase your vocabulary especially while speaking is to learn new words by subscribing for word of the day to sites like dictionary.com. They send word of the day along with the meaning and sample sentences on how to use the word.
During your conversations just use try using those words and you will pick up easily. Also for writing skills, I would suggest MS word to be the best option. For any simple word that you know, press Shift + F7 keys and know the other synonyms. From then on whenever you write the simple words try to replace them with the synonyms that you had learnt. Continue this process and after few months you would have mastered many new words and usage.
If you are a voracious reader, reading books itself would benefit you.
