Story: A hockey player was wrongly convicted and dismissed out of the game. He takes an oath to prove himself right and goes about mentoring and coaching the women hockey team. The women in the hockey team hail from different community and states within India. How the mentor makes them feel the oneness and brings the feeling of INDIAN in them and how they win the match against many countries and triumph in the end.

Review:

The very plus point of this movie is having taken Hockey as the nucleus of the movie. We Indians having Hockey as the national game tend to only watch cricket all the time and thus ending not knowing an inch of Hockey. Kudos to the director for making all the audience aware of what the game is and the rules of the game and how to play it.

This results in the audience first knowing the game and the importance it brings to our country and the pathetic situation where the Indian Govt does not bother a bit about bringing up the hockey team to the international level. In the first place, its hardly noted as a national game.

The movie also portraits the same thought initially wherein the Hockey board themselves does not believe in the women hockey team and offer the women team to face the competition against the men hockey team. The women hockey team strive their best to win against the men hockey team. With much efforts, they finally fail but it was worth the try. The men hockey team salutes the women team for their hardwork and dedication and finally the women team get to play at the international level.

Having crossed the first hurdle, the team sets to play against many different countries. With proper inculcation of patriotism, hardwork, dedication, determination and positive attitude among the girls, the mentor makes them win the match and get the Hockey world cup.

A beautifully made screen play has shaped up the movie so well. Each of the girls have acted so well and Shah Rukh has demonstrated that he is a matured and experienced actor. He is simply adorable.

So my rating for the movie is * * * * * 5 stars :)
