Its the visual media that always provides proof. As for blogging, first of all why do you need to look at authenticity? Even if its a hypothetical situation thats being handled in blog, you can always voice out your opinion. I was trying to say only this.Lakshmihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17619965995148769063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32167305.post-38296967383238186862008-04-23T10:43:00.000+05:302008-04-23T10:43:00.000+05:30Hey people in there, chill. I never said Blogging is bad or so. I am a blogger. I said the philosophy of blogging is increasingly becoming self defeating.
And as the guy u have mentioned rattler in the post says its a medium defeating the print media. I agree for the reason that the number of publication significantly outnumber the print media. But the authenticity still lies in that and not in blog. And the authenticity and integrity of data is what provides the value to it.abinashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15541871088223485436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32167305.post-89616807125021789992008-04-23T10:29:00.000+05:302008-04-23T10:29:00.000+05:30Mudit, I second your opinion. So, people can come, read and express their opinion, they can debate.

I wont disagree completely that Blogs have become a "fashion statement and a degree to have for educated tech savvy mass" . But still, there are people who blog sincerely. There are thousands of meaningful blogs which are of great use. Blogs covering topics from household things to Education, from finance to fashion...they help a lot.

I blog becuase I find it a good place to put my opinion and ideas. Blogs are the way to express my thoughts and sharing it with my friends.

Everything has its own pros and cons. And its all on the perception.Mudithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09553969738285808844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32167305.post-25645539096121985842008-04-23T10:26:00.000+05:302008-04-23T10:26:00.000+05:30Hey Abi, listen: when I said voicing your opinion,...Hey Abi, listen: when I said voicing your opinion, it could be anything. For example, I write about anything that I feel has an impact in me or i like or dislike about it. Thats what I meant by voicing my opinion. Also I cannot keep doing it whenever I feel like, in other media. So blogging is the best.

I quite do not believe in flaunting aspect that you had mentioned. Its for personal content and happiness people write. Whether one notices it or not, writing will go on.

Your first two points are just right. My reason for writing include those two as well.Lakshmihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17619965995148769063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32167305.post-24429729720013911682008-04-23T09:46:00.000+05:302008-04-23T09:46:00.000+05:30Well its good that u get time out of busy schedule...Well its good that u get time out of busy schedules. But the reason I blog is unlike the author u have mentioned just for two reasons:
1. I am bad at keeping an managing things. So a blog is my online safety vault. A safe storage of my writing I can retrieve any where any time.
2. I can reread my own thoughts anytime and anywhere as per my wish. As it feels me with nostalgia and I keep track of my thought process overtime.
---------------------
And about making it a medium of voicing opinion, I feel thats good but what is the need? Everyone has multiple opinion for a single topic.
But what I feel is mostly blog is now increasingly becoming a "commodity" to have and flaunt. At a gathering to say hey I too blog. Its like making a fashion statement and a degree to have for educated tech savvy mass.
But it defeats its own purpose however nevertheless one is free to do and think what he/she wants.abinashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15541871088223485436noreply@blogger.com
